American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) remembers the contributions of safety engineer and Society Fellow, D.A. Weaver. In 1990, D.A. Weaver was named a “Fellow” of the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE). In 1996, he was inducted into the Safety and Health Hall of Fame International. D.A. passed away on July 22nd, 2013 in Pueblo, Colorado. Because of his legendary contributions to the safety profession, the ASSE Southern Colorado Chapter envisioned a scholarship fund that memorializes this man and wishes to assist students aspiring to acquire an Environmental Health & Safety degree, professional certification in safety. For more information about the scholarship, visit the “Student Resources” section.

We are playing “scramble” golf (most people call this “best ball”). All members of the team hit from the same spot throughout the hole, using the best shot each time to determine the location of the next shot.  For example, all team members hit a tee shot, the location of the best tee shot becomes the spot from which all players hit their second shot, and so on.

Collectible Broadmoor logoed golf balls, strings, and mulligans will be available for purchase at the door!

There will also be an amateur pro golfer from Colorado State University (CSU) stationed at one of the holes (usually a Par 5) and you can pay him $10 to hit from the T-box for you! If you pay the $10 bucks per person on your team, then not only do you get to take his shot, but you also get to keep the CSU ball and proceeds help fund our D.A. Weaver Scholarship. If you do not like his shot, then you can drop your hole at the specified fairway marker.

We're sorry, but all tickets sales have ended because the event is expired.

Description:

Get ready for rolling fairways, multi-level greens, and demanding hazards at the stunning yet formidable West Course. At 6,800 feet, this 18-hole course has more doglegs and steeply-angled greens than the East Course, and offers breathtaking views of both the mountains and Colorado Springs.

The West Course plays tighter off the tee, with more heavily tree-lined holes than the East Course, and also gives players an array of spectacular approach shots. Don’t let the stunning mountain views distract you; our West Course may look like a postcard, but it offers a very challenging and rewarding round of golf. The West Course was also the host site of the 1998 PGA Cup Matches.

COURSE ARCHITECTS

A combination of the original 1918 Donald Ross design and the Robert Trent Jones, Sr. 1964 design, the West Course offers our guests a challenging course with spectacular views.

  • Holes 1-6 – Donald Ross
  • Holes 7-14 – Robert Trent Jones, Sr.
